At Recovery Cafe, our dedicated Directors or Senior Staff members conduct an online Recovery Café Consultation, involving a one-on-one conversation. If deemed beneficial, we may incorporate assessment instruments into this process. Typically, this consultation spans approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. In certain cases, as agreed upon or mandated by a third party, we may also conduct an alcohol and drug screen.

Comprehensive Online Evaluation and Recommendations:

The drug and alcohol evaluation journey commences with an intake interview, during which we gather crucial information about your history of substance use, current usage patterns, mental and physical health status, and any prior treatment experiences. Subsequently, our evaluator administers standardized assessments to gain further insights into your substance use and related challenges.

Upon concluding the evaluation, our evaluator compiles a detailed report summarizing their findings and presenting recommendations for your treatment and support. Upon receiving your contact details, we will promptly send you a secure email containing several forms: a consent for therapy, a HIPAA agreement, a basic intake form, a release of information, and a credit card authorization to secure your appointment. During the evaluation, we ask that you find a private and quiet space. The session typically lasts approximately 90 minutes. Towards the conclusion, the counselor will offer initial impressions and discuss potential next steps.

Following the evaluation session, we will proceed with formalizing the evaluation report. If the evaluation is for personal reasons, such as self-referral, no release of information is required. However, if the evaluation involves a third party, it’s essential to have proper authorization in place to communicate with them.
