The Recovery Café’s ASAM Level 1 program in Athens provides the support and resources necessary to kickstart the journey toward addiction recovery. Offering both short-term and long-term program options, we tailor our support to meet your individual needs.
What exactly is ASAM Level 1? This program provides early intervention, brief interventions, and limited behavioral health services. It’s ideal for individuals with substance use disorders who don’t require more intensive care. It combines assessment, treatment, monitoring, and aftercare services to equip clients with the support and resources necessary for addiction recovery.
Our ASAM Level 1 program is more than a substance abuse treatment program. It is a comprehensive approach to providing individuals with the tools needed to begin their recovery from addiction. Including online sessions conducted via Zoom and weekly group meetings, it covers the six dimensions of the ASAM criteria. Rest assured, our counselors conducting the ASAM Level 1 program are highly trained in drug and alcohol addiction and recovery, with specialties in various areas.
Upon completing the program, individuals receive documentable proof of their commitment to recovery, beneficial for personal, professional, and legal reasons. Additionally, the program aims to improve mental and physical health, positively impact relationships, identify and navigate high-risk behaviors successfully, and build confidence and courage.
The ASAM Level 1 program boasts three different completion tracts. Each varies in length and frequency of sessions:
Short-term (12 Weeks)
- 1 Individual session each week
- 2 Group meetings per week (client’s choice)
- 15 random drug and alcohol screens
Short-term Fast Track (6 Weeks)
- 2 Individual sessions each week
- 4 Group meetings per week (client’s choice)
- 15 random drug and alcohol screens
Long-term (24 Weeks)
- 1 Individual session each week
- 2 Group meetings per week (client’s choice)
- 30 random drug and alcohol screens
These individual sessions are conducted online via Zoom. All records remain in our possession unless otherwise instructed by the client. Results and proof of attendance will be emailed to anyone the client chooses to receive them.
Beyond the ASAM Level 1 in Athens, Recovery Café offers weekly maintenance groups for recovery, life coaches, spiritual coaches, and family therapy. To ensure each client receives the appropriate level of care, our counselors can provide additional resources and referrals as needed.
